Become Sophisticated by Simplifying

Today my brother and I are getting rid of all the junk we have accumulated over the years in a process we like to call "simplifying".

Simplifying is not for the faint or sentimental of heart. If you are someone like my brother that deems a receipt to be sentimental then you may want to have a friend (me) beside you to snatch it while your back is turned.

Why are we simplifying? I can't speak for my brother, but I know why I am.

Firstly, because I want to be a more organized person. And organized people usually live and thrive in organized spaces. Secondly, because I Googled "Things that passionate people do" the other day and one of the things that kept coming up was "simplifying". Thus, by simplifying I will become more passionate or will at least start riding that train.

We are throwing out worn and torn clothes and donating ones that no longer make us look fabulous. We are throwing away trophies and certificates from events that nobody cares about anymore. We are finding love notes that our many fans wrote to us and finally throwing them out.

This is simplifying.

Simplifying is also a treasure hunt of sorts. You find clothes you forgot existed, CD's you forgot you had, and a beanie that your mother gave to you when you were two month's old.

You also discover how nerdy your brother actually is after you learn he has a copy of Nuclear Proliferation in the 1980's (a bit of light reading).

The point: this post is me recommending that you simplify your life.

This has been an action packed and super exciting exerpt from my life.
Am I sophisticated yet?

Leave love in the form of comments and compliments (I prefer the latter)!
