You know
when you look at a friend
and see blue skies and wonder
or snowfalls, if you like the winter.
Mostly, what I'm saying,
is that you see potential.
They could be whatever, whomever, whenever.
But they don't see that.
It's the saddest thing.
If a scream would help,
your yell from the bottom of a mountain
would start an avalanche.
Cause you just want them to see,
from your perspective.
From a right perspective;
one not clouded by insecurity,
or their guarded humility,
or whatever it is that's keeping them from seeing.
It's the saddest thing.
How you and me,
we're doubting ourselves.
And there are those--
friends, family, God--
looking at us seeing,
what we don't see.
