Portland Trip

Sunday was a monumentous day for my friends and I since we have been trying to plan a little excursion to Portland for what seems like a year and probably is at least. I mean, we don't even live that far, so how hard can it be? Apparently fairly difficult.

Anyways, we put on our shorts and sandals in preparation for 96 stinking degree weather and drove on up. Despite the fact that this trip was not particularly special in any way (i.e., we met no Obama or One Directioners, apprehended no bad guys, and refrained from getting into any extremely embarrassing situations) it was still special to me, perhaps because all the fuss that led up to it. Therefore, I will jot down some of the things we did.
  1. We spent a substantial amount of time wandering the food carts.
  2. Then an even more substantial amount of time browsing Powell's. We found a cool and hilarious and informative book about How to Handle Your Baby. I highly recommend this gem for all mother and father to be's.

(This is just some of the great advice.)
  1. We tiredly dragged ourselves to a coffee shop and inhaled caffeine-y goodness.
  2. There was some time well spent in Nordstrom admiring jackets and trying to convince my friend's that booties are adorable.
  3. We came across this cool event in Pioneer Square with music and dancing. Very neat.
  4. Pizza.
  5. Thrift shopping, too.
  6. Home sweet home. Back to reality and heat that makes it impossible for one to snooze.
That, ladies and gents, is a tiny taste of P-town.
